Weve all seen it. Monks are in a very good place. In fact, I have &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; personally abused their power to win a handful of wars including one by &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; standing in aroom with &amp;quot;repeat kiai&amp;quot; on (this is true) taking out two &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; equal level players. Monks are still in a very good state (see below) in &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; fact may be even better on the MUD but there have been slight war &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;related &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; reductions. Some of which arose from bugs.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt;  &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt;  &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; THE BAD (Reductions)&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; 1) Monks are supposed to gain a higher attack-cap as they level. However &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;a &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; bug in the formula meant they always got their maximum (19+6) number. &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; Which may explain why you sometimes see low-level fox-style Nekojins &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;doing &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; 6 attacks in a round. I fixed the bug and so now their attack cap scales &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; as intended (this will have an impact for low-level inspired monks, &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; obviously, because theyll hit their natural attack cap).&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt;  &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; 2) Monks had a very heft bonus to weapon damage baked into their shadow. &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; They also got more weapon damage from kiai. More weapon damage from &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;dragon &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; style. This contributed to them casually doing 10-200 point combat &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; rounds. I reduced the shadow bonus to &amp;quot;normal&amp;quot; but from limited testing &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; they still hit freaking hard under kiai.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt;  &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt;  &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; THE WHO CARES&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; 1) I increased focus *very* slightly and made it instant to fuse with &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; their lightning-strike playstyle. There was a suggestion or two that &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;were &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; years old about letting monks be able to cleanse themselves. So focus &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;will &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; now try to remove blindness, disease, and poison in addition to healing.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; 2) I made this change a couple of weeks ago but meditation now updates &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;you &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; as it rises and falls outside of HP report. Which takes the guess work &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;of &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; when youre ready to murder. This was based on a suggestion.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt;  &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt;  &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; 3) Monk stick should no longer load during wars. No one was using it &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; anyway in a war. This was done because ...&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt;  &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; THE GOOD&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; 1) Monk stick had a hard-cap of 17 WC. I think the thought was that &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; special abilities would make up forit but Nekojin monks have a WC of &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; about 30 so it didnt. Monk stick WC now scales based on a combination of &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; being a weapon + staff skill + unarmed skill. At high levels if my math &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;is &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; right it will have less WC than unarmed but only by a few points. So it &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; should now be much more viable.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; 2) I gave pretty healthy boosts to the elemental special attacks based &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; upon number of areas explored. At max level itll proc about like an &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; unmodded blast but youll need to have explored most of the MUD. I think &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; (with 1) this makes it viable and hopefully a worthwhile reward for &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; exploring.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt;  &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt;  &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; Test these out. Send me feedback. See if you can still win a war idle.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;gt; &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;Two more things I neglected.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;1) There was a reduction in max attacks if a monk is wielding a weapon. &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;This no longer applies to the monk stick.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;2) There was a reduction in lightning strike effectiveness if a monk is &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;wielding a weapon.
