If you want to help&lt;br&gt;test out the account logins, keep reading and type 'account'&lt;br&gt;for your Character name at login.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Account-Style Logins:&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;We now have account-style logins. They use your 'mychars' account name.&lt;br&gt;Multiple characters are kept under a single account. Features:&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;1: security question/answer&lt;br&gt; you can set your own security question/answer where, if you answer&lt;br&gt; it, you can reset your password shoul you forget it. the answer is&lt;br&gt; encrypted like passwords.&lt;br&gt;2: email&lt;br&gt; if you provide an email address, we will try and randomly generate&lt;br&gt; you a new password and mail it to this address if you cannot answer&lt;br&gt; your security question. don't have one on file or have an invalid&lt;br&gt; one, say goodbye to your characters forever.&lt;br&gt;3: newsletter&lt;br&gt; if you have a valid email address 'on file' and also have voluntarily&lt;br&gt; signed up (you have to OPT IN) for the newsletter then we will send&lt;br&gt; you a little newsletter to your email occassionally. not sure how&lt;br&gt; often, but probably no more than once / month unless something&lt;br&gt; special is going on. you can always opt out of this if you don't&lt;br&gt; want it later.&lt;br&gt;4: characters&lt;br&gt; you can log in characters, create a new character, and delete existing&lt;br&gt; characters.&lt;br&gt; delete characters:&lt;br&gt; delete really does delete. there is no backup made, no restore&lt;br&gt; possible. everything is nuked, gone for ood. houses, shops,&lt;br&gt; war data, player data, data base entry - all gone. things that are&lt;br&gt; tied across an ACCOUNT (like bank, magewar, etc) are still kept in&lt;br&gt; tact&lt;br&gt;5: logging!&lt;br&gt; everything is logged including IP address. screw around on us and&lt;br&gt; we'll IP ban you using our relatively new site banning code.&lt;br&gt;6: character limit upped to 30 - go forth and raise more chars!&lt;br&gt;7: changes to mud:&lt;br&gt; password command: gone. you log in now from your account. if&lt;br&gt; you want to change your password you do it for the entire account&lt;br&gt; at the account login prompt.&lt;br&gt; mychars command: still exists but it's ONLY to print out&lt;br&gt; information. you can't change email address, add new chars, etc.&lt;br&gt; do those things from the main login menu&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;This is now in beta-testing. I hope to fully integrate it within a&lt;br&gt;week. If you'd like to help test, please type 'account' (without the&lt;br&gt;quotes) for your character name when you log in o the MUD. You'll need&lt;br&gt;your ACCOUNT name and password. Please set your security q/a, consider&lt;br&gt;setting an email address as well as signing up for the newsletter.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Submit bugs via mudmail directly to me or the wizards will assign bugs&lt;br&gt;you submit with the 'bug' command to me. I'd be interested in some&lt;br&gt;ideas but at this point I don't want any complex &quot;it'd be cool if&quot;&lt;br&gt;ideas. Going for basic functionality that we can run with.
