The basic idea is that&lt;br&gt;Manticores are going to grow into more Sphinx-like beasts&lt;br&gt;as they age and through divine intervention.&lt;br&gt;Now, for the list of changes as best I remember.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;1: Manticore's base stats have changed. They lost some&lt;br&gt; Dexterity and gained Intelligence to compensate.&lt;br&gt;2: There was a bug with the Venom skill. It didn't go&lt;br&gt; off enough (at all really) so that's fixed. Please&lt;br&gt; remember that venom is resisted by resistance, and it is&lt;br&gt; NOT spider Toxin. It behaves very differently and you&lt;br&gt; spikes and claws might not apply it very often, the less that&lt;br&gt; happens the quicker it wears down. It's a small damage boost&lt;br&gt; but it *DOES* work. You might want it now that your base&lt;br&gt; damage has decreased due to losing combat based stats.&lt;br&gt;3: If you didn't know before, I moved most of the manticore&lt;br&gt; skills into level based. See 'help manticore' for when you&lt;br&gt; are rewarded the skills.&lt;br&gt;4: At level 15, the manticore now gains 'religion'. Note: this&lt;br&gt; requires you having selected a religion. If you go the path&lt;br&gt; of athiest, you have chosen the wrong path. :) Once you select&lt;br&gt; a religion, you'll start getting access to the prayers.&lt;br&gt;5: Manticores now are rewarded with (at this time) 6 prayers.&lt;br&gt; Some of the prayers are little trifles (like arctic warmth)&lt;br&gt; while others are game changers (like sandstorm and enigma).&lt;br&gt; Some are rewarded for doing specific quests, others for just&lt;r&gt; doing a lot of quests for a total quest point value.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The idea here is that as a manticore ages and gets in tune with&lt;br&gt;their dieties that those dieties encourage the manticore to solve&lt;br&gt;the puzzles of the realm (re: sphinx nature). As they do so, the&lt;br&gt;manticore is rewarded by those dieties with new prayers.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;MAJOR WARNING / NOTE: When you select manticore (if you were not&lt;br&gt;already a manticore) your quests will be erased! Do *NOT*&lt;br&gt;reincarnate some major quest character into manticore in hopes&lt;br&gt;of getting these prayers off the bat. You are warned, I will&lt;br&gt;*NOT* be restoring your quest points if you do not heed this&lt;br&gt;warning.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;You MUST reselect Manticore in your subclass room to get all of&lt;br&gt;these benefits. Some will come across on login, others require&lt;br&gt;a reselection. Do it!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I've coded these rewards so that you will gain them as soon as&lt;br&gt;you complete the quest (or get the correct quest point level) or&lt;br&gt;as you level up (for the skills tat require character level).&lt;br&gt;So this will be more natural and you will not have to relogin to&lt;br&gt;get these rewards.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I'm sure manticores are now way out of balance, but that's the fun&lt;br&gt;of it. Test it out, I'll rebalance as necessary. Good luck&lt;br&gt;questing and remember that sharing quest information on Tsunami&lt;br&gt;is against the rules. Feel free to tattle on people to me and&lt;br&gt;I'll hand out the pain. Also please submit bug reports on syntax&lt;br&gt;problems and the like with quests.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Remember - Manticores may not be for everyone now. They're&lt;br&gt;heavily quest based and you may not want to play that kind of&lt;br&gt;character.
